Muse on iPhone is Meta’s own app, named Muse from Meta. It is free to install. You need iOS 18 or later, a Meta account, and a country where Muse is actually offered. Right now that is the US and Canada, for people 18 and over.
Do not install the Meta AI app and expect it to be Muse. They are separate. The listing you want is on the App Store as Muse from Meta, or the App Store button on Meta’s download page.
Install it
- On the iPhone, open the App Store listing for Muse from Meta, or start from Meta’s download page and tap Download on the App Store.
- Check the name and the developer before you install. You want Muse from Meta.
- Install it. The listing says the iPhone app requires iOS 18.0 or later. If your phone is older than that, the button will not complete the install.
- Open the app. Sign in with a Meta account, or create one with Facebook, Instagram, email, or a phone number.
Meta’s Muse page says availability is the US and Canada, age 18 and over, and that more countries are not on a published timetable. If the App Store hides the app, or sign-in stops, that is the limit to check first.
Send the first message
The app opens on the Chat tab, the same place Meta’s getting-started guidedescribes for Muse in general.
- Type one job. Include what you want back, and what Muse should not do.
- You can send another line before the first answer finishes. Meta says the chat is not turn-by-turn.
- For a second topic, open the menu in the top left and tap the pencil-and-note icon. That starts a side chat.
- Read the result. Ask for a change in the next message.
A reminder works the same way as on the web: say what and when, then find it under the Assistant icon, in Upcoming. Files you finish are in the Library tab.
Usage and upgrades on the phone
The free plan has a usage limit. Meta does not publish that free number. To see yours, or to pay for more: tap Menu in the top left, then Settings, then Upgrade under Usage. Pick a plan and continue to payment. Those steps are in Subscribe to Muse.
If you subscribe on the iPhone, you later manage that subscription on the iPhone account where you bought it. Meta is explicit about this: manage it on the same platform, device type, and account.
If the iPhone install fails
- The listing will not download. Update to iOS 18 or later. The App Store listing states that requirement for iPhone.
- Search shows a different Muse. Leave it. Use the link from Meta’s download page so you land on Muse from Meta.
- Sign-in is refused. Confirm the Meta account, your age, and that you are in the US or Canada. An invite code does not open a closed region.
- The app stops mid-chat. Check Usage in Settings. You may have hit the free limit. Details are in Is Muse AI free?
Questions about the iPhone app
Does Muse keep working if I leave the app?
Meta’s download page says the mobile app can keep working on a task even with the app closed. You still approve anything that sends, publishes, or spends.
Is the iPhone app the same account as the website?
Yes. Both use your Meta account. A chat you start on the phone is part of that same Muse.
Can I redeem a code in the app?
People redeem inside Muse after they are signed in. The field name can change, so followthe redeem guide and the labels you actually see.
Does this site ask for my Apple ID?
No. Install and payment happen with Apple and Meta. This site never asks for that login.
